The New Cross House has been a staple of the South-East London community for literally hundreds of years. So many years in fact, that the area itself was named after the pub. Also known as Goldsmiths Tavern, it has played host to many well-known bands, comedians, DJ’s and artists. Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer held their first ever show together upstairs in our function space and the legendary spoken-word artist and political activist, Gil Scott Heron performed here in the 90s.
After some much needed TLC we’ve rejigged our menu, polished up the interior and brought the hallowed ground that is our function room, back to life. Come grab a pint of one of our many craft beers, a cheeky cocktail or 2 or a delicious slice of hand-stretched, Italian style pizza. If a party or private gathering is what you need we’ve got you covered. Plus DJ’s every weekend and a new 2AM licence, The New Cross House is on course to retain its crown as THE place to hang out in South London.
